Asking your architecture (AI)¶
Ask Your Architecture lets you query your own repository in natural language. Open it from the AI icon in the header (it appears only when an AI provider is configured) or at /ai-query.
What it does¶
It answers questions against your actual entities and relationships — not generic knowledge. For example:
- "Which applications support the Claims Processing capability?"
- "What technology is end-of-life under a mission-critical app?"
- "Which capabilities have no supporting application?"
The query is constrained to structured search over your repository, so results are grounded in your data and traceable back to real entities.
Requirements¶
AI features require an AI provider to be configured for your tenant (see Admin setup). ArcaMira supports bring-your-own-key (BYOK) for Anthropic, OpenAI, and Azure OpenAI, with per-tenant quota metering. If no provider is configured, the AI icon and AI-assisted features are simply hidden — the rest of the product is unaffected.
Where else AI shows up¶
- Capability discovery — suggested application→capability links (Discover).
- Auto-suggestions on import — capability links queued for freshly imported applications.
- Risk narratives — plain-English risk summaries on application and technology pages.
In every case AI suggests; a human confirms. Nothing speculative enters the repository on its own.
